Annual Trustee Benefit Concert to Honor Community, Corporate Leaders

RIVER FOREST, IL—PÕ¾ÊÓƵ will recognize long-time community leaders Marty and Mary Lou Noll and W.S. Darley & Co., one of the nation’s most respected providers of equipment and services for first responders, at its annual Trustee Benefit Concert on Thursday, May 9.
The university’s annual Benefit raises scholarship funds for PÕ¾ÊÓƵ students. Tom and Deb Abrahamson will chair this year’s benefit, and Dr. Eugene and Clare (Sistie) McEnery will serve as honorary co-chairs.
Students come to PÕ¾ÊÓƵ because of its strong academic programs and the embracing, relationship-centered support it provides students every step of the way. Many are the first in their family to go to college. Over two-thirds of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ undergraduates work or support their families while completing their studies. The Benefit provides much-needed financial support that goes directly to student scholarships.
Two awards will be presented as part of the Benefit reception. W.S. Darley & Co. will receive the inaugural Pillars Award from the university. This award recognizes an organization that represents and complements the four PÕ¾ÊÓƵ pillars of faith, study, community and service. Darley, a four-generation, family owned and operated company headquartered in Itasca, provides the highest levels of quality, integrity and service to first responders, the military and educators.
The Darley family has deep ties to the university. Jeanne Morrisy Darley ’50 and her children Mary Darley Mattio ’88, ’99, ’05; Stephen Darley ’82; and Peter Darley ’89 are all alumnae/i of Rosary College/PÕ¾ÊÓƵ, and her son Paul Darley is a member of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s Board of Trustees. Paul Darley is president of W.S. Darley & Co.
Marty and Mary Lou Noll will be honored with the first-ever Heart of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ award, which recognizes individuals who have contributed significantly over time to both the university and the surrounding community. The Nolls have been steadfast supporters of civic and philanthropic causes for decades, advocating strongly for PÕ¾ÊÓƵ and numerous esteemed organizations within Oak Park, River Forest and neighboring regions. Their devotion to mission, education and ensuring a vibrant network of support for so many is a lived example of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s motto of Caritas in action.
Following the reception, guests will be treated to a concert featuring Yesterday and Today: The Interactive Beatles Experience, a trio of talented brothers led by Billy McGuigan. It will bring fun and energy to the stage of the Lund Auditorium, with songs loved by generations.
