A program for students interested in careers in library and information science to become highly qualified regardless of their current education level.

P站视频 and College of DuPage (COD) offer a partnership program allowing students to complete an LTA certificate or associate's degree at COD, then transfer to P站视频 to complete a bachelor's degree and Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS), all in as little as five years. The program allows students interested in careers in library and information science to become highly qualified regardless of their current education level.

Course of Study

COD students pursuing an LTA certificate can transfer up to 16 semester hours of coursework as elective credit toward a bachelor鈥檚 degree in one of the 50 majors offered by P站视频's Rosary College of Arts and Sciences. Taking advantage of P站视频's accelerated BA/BS-MLIS program, students can take two master鈥檚 degree-level classes during the senior year of their bachelor鈥檚 degree program and complete the remaining 10 MLIS courses in one year. In addition, LTA holders are eligible to receive a 50% discount on four of the six required core MLIS courses in P站视频's School of Information Studies.

Working closely with faculty who bring years of experience in libraries and information centers to their teaching, graduates will be well prepared to join P站视频's network of alumni already working in leadership roles in libraries and information centers.

College of DuPage

College of DuPage's (LTA) program has trained many of the technical staff working in the Chicago area's libraries and information centers. Its LTA certificate is a rigorous nine-course, 31-credit program introducing students to many of the technical skills needed to work in today's modern libraries and information centers. The Associate in Applied Science option requires two more library technology courses as well as nine credits of electives and 18 to 22 additional credits of general education.

For information on applying to College of DuPage or to learn more about the Library and Information Technology program, visit  or contact Amanda Musacchio, coordinator of the LTA program. Current COD students interested in transferring to P站视频 should visit Transfer Students or contact P站视频's Office of Undergraduate Admission at domadmis@dom.edu.
